I always loved the oldtime poppers with a round bottom pot over an electric element. Those went out with the invention of the microwave, I guess, and I have been microwaving popcorn ever since. I may be slightly addicted to popcorn. Is that a thing? This type of popper seemed like the closest modern version to the old style poppers which I always thought made much better popcorn than any microwave. Really pleased with this one for several reasons. The rotating bar spreads out the shortening (I use various flavored and unflavored coconut oils and sometimes a little butter) and it agitates the kernels very well as they pop. I have yet to find any burnt popcorn and hardly any unpopped hulls at all. It has a butter dispenser on top which works if you use some very thin slices of butter.

My mom LOVES this and says it ACTUALLY pops ALL the kernals which didn't happen when she did it old school on a pan on the stove. I read too many reviews (especially on those small cheap little ones) that they don't pop all the kernals. This was the only one I found that had reviews saying it actually popped everything. And I can say it DOES. I watched it in action one night when my mom made her nightly popcorn, and it was cool how the metal wand spins the popcorn around slowly with the oil.

I love how easy using this popcorn maker is. Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks so I make it very often and this makes sure that like 98% or so of the kernels pop. All I have to do is put a tablespoon or so of butter flavored oil on the surface, add a couple pinches of MSG, a few tablespoon scoops of kernels, then put on the lid and walk away after pressing start. Tastes almost exactly like movie theater popcorn and makes me so happy! Not adding a pic yet because my place is a mess.

I have a very small kitchen with limited storage space I was looking for something small to make my morning popcorn and have found it. I make a small batch of popcorn in the morning and that is what I snack on during the day. Then I have a sensible meal for dinner. This one is quiet, small and it went pretty fast.

This cooked my popcorn perfectly. Fast shipping and cleans up nice too.

It's great and popcorn comes out delicious. Only con is a couple kernels get stuck under the spinner and causes burning. Though it's easy to pick out those few.

Very much like my official stir crazy at my other home. The stir bar rides a little high but still gets the job done. Would recommend.
